A Dream
Within
This unique piece was first created by hand with pen and ink and then
imported into Adobe Illustrator to complete the fine details. Once the
shapes were redefined with the pen tool, intricate details were added to
create a surreal and abstract piece of art.
A Dream Within is an
excellent example of the use of Positive and Negative space to capture the
eye of the viewer and allow it to flow. |

Picasso
- Girl With Mandolin
This stamp was
created in Adobe Illustrator, utilizing
the programs pen tool to create each abstract shape of Picasso's Girl
With Mandolin. Each shape was then filled with a custom made gradient
to exactly match the original painting. This piece won a gold in computer
illustration at the 1999 Fayetteville Area Advertising Federation. Girl
With Mandolin exhibits the attention to fine detail and the beauty of
colors in a delicate piece of artwork. |
 Pekoe
Tea
This logo was
created in Macromedia Freehand, utilizing the programs pen tool to create
the abstract shapes. The challenge was to create a corporate
identity that would represent the company while maintaining its strength
in print. This piece won a silver in corporate identity at the 1999
Fayetteville Area Advertising Federation. Pekoe Tea exhibits excellent
design quality with the use of positive and negative space. |

This company emerged with the need for a corporate identity. Knowing the
companies project goals, target audience, and objectives we developed a
marketing campaign consisting of a logo, real estate signs and stationary.
Implementing the design
Starfirefx established an online presence for All About

Phi Beta
Lambda
As an active member and officer of Phi
Beta Lambda at Fayetteville Technical Community College, I put together the
college chapters web site. This site competed in the State Leadership
Conference placing First for two consecutive years and qualified to compete on the
National level where it placed Ninth. This site was built entirely in Flash MX and
contains extensive information about the organization and how the college
relates to the missions of PBL.
